Budd Lake man charged with armed robbery

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Budd Lake man was jailed after allegedly committing an armed robbery in 2018 in Hanover Township, police said in a news release Thursday.

Jeremiah Forde, 39, was charged with one count of armed robbery.

The charge is the result of an armed robbery that occurred at the Red Carpet Inn on Nov. 14, 2018 where the victim was beaten with an expandable baton and thrown through a sliding glass door resulting in significant injuries, police said.

Undisclosed amount of money was taken during the robbery, police said.

Forde is currently lodged at the Morris County Correctional Facility on the armed robbery charge and other unrelated charges, police said.
