Budd Lake man pronounced dead after house fire
MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP (Morris County) — A Budd Lake man was pronounced dead after firefighters pulled him out of a house fire, according to the Morris County Prosecutor’s office.
Firefighters responded to a fire at a two-family home on Netcong Road around 6:54 a.m. on Thursday, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
Fire units removed a male from the second floor, who was later identified as Robert David, 71, according to the prosecutor’s office.
David was transported to Hackettstown Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
The prosecutor’s office Arson and Environmental Crimes Unit investigated and is not considering the fire suspicious at this time. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
