Budd Lake woman, 62, accused of selling drugs out of home

MOUNT OLIVE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Budd Lake woman is accused of selling drugs out of her home, according to police.

On June 29, police responded to the report of a woman selling a controlled dangerous substance out of her residence in Budd Lake. The officer made contact with the suspect, who was identified as 62-year-old Shelly R. Briggs, police said.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Briggs was distributing a controlled dangerous substance from her residence. She was then arrest and was transported to police headquarters, police said.

Briggs was charged with distribution of a schedule IV narcotic drug and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released pending a court appearance, police said.
