
Bus driver charged with sexually assaulting two female students
A 70-year-old bus driver has been arrested after sexually assaulting two female students in front of other students, according to Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp.
Thomas Thomasevich of Oakland, has been charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault, two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, and six counts of fourth-degree cruelty & neglect of children.
Thomasevich allegedly committed the acts of sexual contact on two minor female students known to him while he was working as a driver for the First Student Bus Company, located in Butler, Knapp said.
The sexual contact was committed in the presence of several other minor students, Knapp said.
Thomasevich has been lodged at the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.
Knapp thanked the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit and the Kinnelon Borough Police Department whose efforts contributed to the investigation of the matter.
