Byram Township police warn residents after car burglaries, thefts

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – Byram Township police are warning residents to lock their cars and bring valuables inside after a rash of car burglaries and thefts.

There have been reports of car burglaries, attempted car burglaries, and stolen motor vehicles in Byram Township and neighboring towns, police said.

Police are currently investigating a stolen motor vehicle from the East Brookwood section of the township that occurred early Saturday morning.

Anyone with surveillance video or information should contact the Byram Township Police Department at 973-347-4008.

Police recommend residents to close and lock all windows and doors, remove all valuables and keys from the vehicles, and park in well-lit areas if possible.

“Please stay alert and report anything suspicious immediately.” police said.
