Byram Twp. woman caught with 28 bags of heroin

BYRAM TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A woman is facing several drug charges after she was allegedly caught with 28 bags of heroin in Byram Township, police said in a news release on Sunday.

Melinda Molnar of Byram Township was charged with possession of heroin, possession of hypodermic syringes and possession of Controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia.

On Oct. 13, at 3:48 a.m., township officers responded to the area of the Cranberry Lake Community Club for a welfare check, police said.

Upon arrival, officers located Molnar in the South Shore Road boat launch. After a brief investigation, Molnar was alelgeldy found to be in possession of 28 bags of heroin, hypodermic syringes and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Molnar was arrested and then charged, police said.
