HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Figuring out how to be a caregiver for an elderly loved one isn’t always easy. That’s why a special event will take place at Bentley Commons at Paragon Village to help ease some of the stress.
On Monday, October 14th from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. two experts will host the presentation and provide important information and guidance to all in attendance.
Elder law and estate planning attorney, Andrea Capita, will be present to answer questions and talk about the process of handling estate legalities. “You can only choose who you trust to make medical, financial, and legal decisions for you while you have the capacity to do so,” says Capita.
When asked about the positive impact of her job, Capita talked about the legal confusion among new caregivers. “My goal is to shed some type of light in navigating through this complex area of law, and help a senior and their family find some clarity,” Capita said.
In addition to Capita, director and founder of Caring Choices, MaryAnn Porosky, will highlight the importance of proper communication with an elder loved one. Porosky notes that when having crucial conversations, it’s important to know when to dig deeper. She will also discuss how to manage emotions, and offer tips for managing difficult scenarios.
Individuals interested in attending the presentation must RSVP to Dawn by calling 908-498-0122. Bentley Commons at Paragon Village is located at 427 Route 46 East, Hackettstown, NJ.
