Center for Lifelong Learning to host free presentations in November and December at Sussex County Community College

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – The Center for Lifelong Learning at Sussex County Community College (SCCC), a collaboration between the Sussex County Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Senior Services, and Sussex County Community College, is hosting a free presentation in November.

In December, the Division of Senior Services and SCCC will be celebrating the 8th Anniversary of the Center for Lifelong Learning partnership.

The Center for Lifelong Learning will present “A President in Paradise: Harry S. Truman and the Key West Little White House” on Friday, Nov. 10 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the Performing Arts Atrium at SCCC.

Join Professor Raymond Frey as you take a trip to Key West and the Little White House. Dr. Frey has been invited to speak at President Truman’s Little White House three times, as well as appearing as a distinguished speaker at the Truman Presidential Library in Missouri.

He is considered to be one of the foremost experts on the Truman presidency. Be prepared for some great inside stories about Truman and the men and women who worked closely with him. Dr. Raymond Frey is an adjunct professor of Politics at SCCC and a professor of History and University Historian at Centenary University.

Light refreshments will be served. Pre-registration is requested and space is limited.

Then on Friday, Dec. 8 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m., in the Performing Arts Atrium at SCCC, as we celebrate the 8th Anniversary of the Center for Lifelong Learning partnership between SCCC and the Sussex County Division of Senior Services. There will be a buffet lunch in the beautiful Performing Arts Atrium.

Sussex County seniors will have an opportunity to meet the Senior Services and Center for Lifelong Learning staff and learn about the programs and services that are available through the Division of Senior Services, SCCC and the Center for Lifelong Learning.

Pre-registration is requested and space is extremely limited.
