Cocaine, pot found during traffic stop in Readington Twp.

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Two people face drug charges following a traffic stop in Readington Township on Saturday.

Patrick O’Shea, 20, of Fallston, MD was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia along with motor vehicle summonses for DWI, possession of CDS in a motor vehicle, and failure to maintain lane.

Richard Walsh, 20,of Flemington, NJ was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and underage possession of alcohol.

On April 20, at around 2:40 a.m., an officer stopped a Nissan on Potterstown Road near Halls Mill Road and the driver, who was identified as Patrick O’ Shea, was allegedly found to have consumed alcohol earlier in the night, police said.

O’Shea failed several sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. Upon searching O’Shea, cocaine was located in his sock, along with allegedly admitting to possessing marijuana, police said.

The passenger in the vehicle, who was identified as Richard Walsh, also allegedly admitted to possessing marijuana, police said.

Both were arrested and then later released pending a court appearance.
