Postal operations at the former Lafayette Post Office, located at 96 State Route 15, were temporarily suspended on Aug. 16, 2019 as a result of the aging condition of the 1,118 sq. ft. leased facility. There was no effect on rural mail delivery to street addresses. The 144 Lafayette Post Office Box customers are picking-up their mail at the nearby Augusta Post Office.
