Complaint leads to DWI arrest in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County woman is facing several charges including driving while intoxicated after a complaint led to an arrest in Denville township, according to police.

On Dec. 16, at around 12:35 a.m., the Denville Twp. Police Department received a 9-1-1 call regarding a possible intoxicated driver, police said.

An officer stopped the vehicle on Savage Road for multiple moving violations, to include careless driving, police said.

During the course of the stop, it was determined that the driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Urja S. Shah of Rockaway, was driving while intoxicated, police said.

Shah was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, traffic on marked lanes, carless driving, reckless driving, and failure to give proper signal.

Shah was then released pending a court appearance.
