Cops: Driver crashes car into guardrail, flees in Hunterdon County

KINGWOOD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A driver who bolted after crashing a pickup into a guardrail Sunday morning was issued several motor vehicle citations, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Detective Jeffrey Lebron.

The crash happened on Oct.15, at around 1:13 a.m. on Barbertown Point Breeze Road in Kingwood Township, Lebron said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Chevrolet pickup truck, driven by David Riccioni, 23, of Flemington, lost directional control and collided with the guardrail, Lebron said.

Riccioni allegedly fled the scene but was subsequently located with minor injuries, Lebron said.

Riccioni was charged with numerous motor vehicle citations, Lebron said.

The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
