FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – The COVID-19 testing site in Warren County will be closed Monday due to expected heavy wind and rain, and for the safety of the workers, officials said Saturday.
Monday’s appointments will be rescheduled.
Warren County, in partnership with St. Luke’s University Hospital Network (SLUHN), opened the COVID-19 drive-thru testing site for Warren County residents only last week.
Forty-one people were tested on the first day the site was open.
The Warren County COVID-19 drive-thru testing site is at the Warren County Technical School, located at 1500 Route 57, in Franklin Township, NJ 07882.
Scheduled testing dates are:
- Tuesday, April 14, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, April 15, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Thursday, April 16, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Friday, April 17, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
You must be a Warren County resident and complete a two-step scheduling process. Each patient must be screened and pre-approved by a SLUHN provider in order to schedule an appointment. If your primary care physician is associated with another healthcare network, such as Atlantic Health System or Hunterdon Healthcare System, you must call St. Luke’s Warren Hills Family Practice at 908-847-3100 to receive screening for COVID-19 testing. The testing site will only be accepting orders from SLUHN.
To schedule a test once you have been screened, visit Warren County’s new COVID-19 Testing webpage, co.warren.nj.us/Healthdept/wccovidtesting.html, where you will find
details on testing requirements and procedures, and a link to the online scheduler. Only after you have been screened and pre-approved by a SLUHN provider, you can choose an appointment time for the Warren County drive-thru testing site. You must read the Consent Form available
online, select an appointment time, and fill out required information in order to be scheduled for a test.
There is no charge for this testing.
Residents who need help or have questions about appointment scheduling only, call the testing site call center at 908-878-3188. Normal operating hours of the call center will be 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Residents are strongly encouraged to self-schedule online through the appointment portal.
Anyone with questions or concerns about the drive-thru testing site, outside of appointment scheduling, can contact the Warren County Health Department at 908-475-7960.
“In an effort to reduce the burden on the already stressed healthcare system, Warren County government is opening up a testing site to increase opportunities for county residents,” Freeholder James R. Kern III, liaison for health and public safety said. Kern explained that priorities for testing “include symptomatic healthcare professionals and first responders, and symptomatic high risk individuals who are over the age of 60 or have underlying conditions, in addition to mildly symptomatic residents.”
