CrimeStoppers: Police seek help ID’ing person that used stolen credit card

MORRIS PLAINS BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – Police are seeking the public’s assistance with identifying a person that allegedly used a stolen credit card.

The Morris Palins Police Department is investigating a series of office and commercial burglaries that occurred between 7:30 p.m. on June 29 and 2:00 a.m. on June 30, authorities said.

The burglaries were committed using an unknown pry tool on the door. In two separate occasions, the suspect either covered the camera or turned the camera in a different direction while inside the offices, authorities said.

A follow up investigation revealed that a credit that was stolen from one of the offices was used at Platinum 2 Cell Phone Store, located at 137 Main Street, in Paterson, and Targets Closeout, located at 141 Main Street, in Paterson, authorities said.

The suspect purchased three motorcycles using the credit card at the Targets Closeout and was captured on Instagram before the three drove away, authorities said.

The one suspect was trying to conceal his identity, however, someone may recognize him, authorities said.
