Crowds turn out for National Night Out in Hackettstown (PHOTOS)

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Crowds turned out Tuesday for Hackettstown’s National Night Out, which is meant to improve relationships between the community and police.

The event was held at the Arthur J. Sheldon Recreation Complex on Warren Street from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Residents had the opportunity to interact with members of the police department in an evening that offered a healthy dose of crime prevention awareness.

Fire, police and rescue units and many other organizations brought information, fire trucks, emergency vehicles, and more to give the public and kids a hands-on experience. The Hackettstown Business Improvement District also held a Wellness Fair.

There was free swimming at the Hackettstown Community Pool and a free showing of DC League of -Super Pets started at dusk.

Mars Wrigley provided treats to visitors and Marley’s Wings and Things on Wheels food truck provided free wings.
