Daytime eastbound I-78 toll bridge lane closure for drainage, slope-protection repairs Jan. 3-5

NEW JERSEY – The eastbound I-78 Toll Bridge’s New Jersey-bound span is scheduled to be reduced to two travel lanes (one of three lanes closed) from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 3, Thursday, Jan. 4 and Friday, Jan. 5, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The lane closure is need to allow for drainage and slope-protection repairs on the New Jersey side of the bridge, the commission said.

Only minor to moderate travel delay are possible during morning peak commuting hours, the commission said.

Motorists are urged to reduce speeds and exercise caution whenever traveling through active work areas, the commission said.
