Daytime westbound lane closures at I-78 toll bridge May 20-23

WARREN COUNTY, NJ – The I-78 Toll Bridge’s Pennsylvania-bound direction is scheduled to be reduced to two travel lanes (one of three lanes closed) from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, to Thursday, May 23, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The travel restriction will begin on the bridge’s I-78 westbound approach in Pohatcong Township and continue across the bridge into Williams Township, Pa, the commission said.

The four days of lane closures are needed for a broad rehabilitation/improvement project currently taking place in the vicinity of the bridge, the commission said.

Brief travel delays and backups are possible. Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and exercise caution whenever approaching active work zones, the commission said.
