Despite rainy conditions, hundreds turn out for Hackettstown’s International Day and Maifest

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ (Warren County) – Though the skies were cloudy and gray, and it rained for most of the day, there were plenty of people that turned out for the Hackettstown Business Improvement District’s International Day and Maifest on Saturday afternoon.

The festival took place on Valentine Street and Grand Avenue.

Hackettstown Mayor Jerry DiMaio kicked off the event with the traditional breaking of the Italian sub and beer tapping at Man Skirt brewing and another beer tapping at Czig Meister Brewing Company.

There was an an array of local artists work, culturally diverse assortment of cuisine and fine assortment of craft beers.

Maypole dancers from the NJ Civic Youth Ballet performed at Czig Meister Brewing Company.

The Rory O’Moore Pipes and Drums, Peter and the Wolf-Gang, and Kudos! Strolling Barbershop Quartet performed during the day.
