Disabled vehicle leads to DWI arrest
HANOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A disabled vehicle on North Jefferson Road in Hanover Township led to several charges including driving while intoxicated for a Sussex County woman, police said on Wednesday.
On November 19, police responded to a call for a possible disabled vehicle and located Kathleen Pena, 35, of Stanhope and her disabled vehicle with 2 flat tires on North Jefferson Road, police said.
After speaking with Pena and detecting the odor of an alcoholic beverage, she was asked to perform field sobriety tests, police said.
Pena was arrested issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI, refusal, reckless, and failure to maintain lane. She was released to a family member pending her court apperneace, police said.
