Dog running loose bites troopers, civilians on I-80 in Warren County

ALLAMUCHY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Two New Jersey State Troopers and civilians were bitten by a loose dog on Interstate 80 in Warren County Tuesday night, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Sergeant Charles Marchan.

Troopers responded at 8:23 p.m. to the report of a dog running on Interstate 80 eastbound at milepost 21 in Allamuchy Township, Marchan said.

When troopers and civilians were trying to capture the dog, they were bitten. The injuries were minor, Marchan said.

The dog was eventually captured and turned over to animal control, Marchan said.
