Driver airlifted after crashing into back of tractor-trailer on I-80 in Warren County
KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A driver was airlifted to the hospital after crashing into the back of a tractor-trailer Wednesday morning on Interstate 80 in Warren County, New Jersey State Police Sergeant Lawrence Peele said.
The crash happen at 10:02 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound in the area of milepost 2 in Knowlton Township, Peele said.
A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Volkswagen sedan struck the back of a tractor-trailer, Peele said.
The driver of the Volkswagen was extricated and then airlifted to Morristown Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The truck driver did not complain of any injuries at the time of the crash, Peele said.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, Peele said.
