Driver airlifted to hospital after crashing into tree in Hunterdon County

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A driver was flown to the hospital with serious injuries after crashing into a tree in Hunterdon County on Thursday.

The crash happened at around 11:23 p.m. on Rake Road near Oak Grove Road in Raritan Township, according to a post on the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad’s Facebook page.

Upon arrival, first responders found that a single-vehicle had crashed into a tree and the driver was suffering from serious injuries, authorities said.

The driver was then airlifted to Morristown Medical Center, the post said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation by the Raritan Township Police Department.
