SPARTA TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Morris County teen was arrested after allegedly fleeing police and then crashing in in Sparta Township.

On August 29, officers were in the area of Demarest Road when they observed a black Mercedes Benz speeding in the area, police said.

Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and the driver, who was later identified as Erick Oliveira, 19, of Dover,  failed to stop and then fleeing the area at a high rate of speed, police said.

The vehicle was located a short time later after it had crashed near Tech Flex. The occupants of the vehicle fled on foot and were arrested a short time later, police said.
