Driver charged with DWI, careless driving in Hunterdon County

READINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – A man is facing charges including driving while intoxicated and careless driving in Readington Township.

On Sunday, January 2, at around 10:30 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for speeding on Route 202 and failure to maintain lamps, police said.

While the officer was speaking to Alexey Kudymov, 47, the officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Kudymov failed the officers field sobriety tests and was arrested for driving while intoxicated, police said.

Kudymov was issued motor vehicle summonses for DWI, refusal to submit to breathalyzer, speeding, maintenance of lamps and careless driving, police said.
