Driver dies after crashing into tree in Warren County
KNOWLTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A New York man died Sunday morning after he crashed into a tree along Interstate 80 in Warren County, according to New Jersey State Police Sergeant Alejandro Goez.
The crashed happened at 8:45 a.m. on Interstate 80 eastbound at milepost 7.9 in Knowlton Township, Goez said.
A preliminary police investigation revealed that Svyon Gregory Acosta, 20, of New York City was driving a Honda Accord eastbound on Interstate 80 when his vehicle went off the roadway to the left and struck a tree, Goez said.
Acosta sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash, Goez said.
The accident remains under investigation.
