Driver faces DUI charge after allegedly driving with flat tire in Independence Township
INDEPENDENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A Hackettstown man reportedly driving a car with a flat tire was charged with DUI in Independence Township.
On July 28, officers responded to Alphano Road for a reported vehicle traveling north with a flat tire and heavy front-end damage, police said.
Officers found the vehicle and driver, who was identified as 37-year-old Ivan Cervantes, at the entrance of Godlewsky Farms. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol after a series of field sobriety tests, police said.
Cervantes was arrested for driving under the influence, processed at police headquarters and released to a responsible person, police said.
