Driver flees on foot after crash, arrested in Warren County

OXFORD TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – A 46-year-old Warren County man was arrested and is facing several charges after he crashed into a vehicle on Route 31 in Oxford Township and fled the scene on foot last month, according to Washington Township police.

On July 20, at around 2:45 p.m., Washington Township police responded to a non-injury motor vehicle accident on the 100 block of Route 31 in Oxford Township where the driver of one vehicle fled the scene on foot, police said.

Upon the officer’s arrival, the man who fled the scene was quickly located and arrested, police said.

The man was charged with obstruction of the administration of law and was also issued motor vehicle summonses for reckless driving, careless driving, abandonment of a motor vehicle, disregard of a stop sign, unlicensed driver, fictitious plates, failure to produce documents, uninsured motor vehicle, failure to report a motor vehicle accident and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident.
