Driver injured after car hits utility pole in Hunterdon County

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) – One person was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Hunterdon County Saturday afternoon, according to a post on the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad Facebook’s page.

The crash happened on Route 202-31 near Copper Hill Road in Raritan Township, authorities said.

It was reported that a vehicle struck a utility pole with one person unconscious and possibly trapped in the vehicle, authorities said.

Upon arrival, first responders found the driver of the vehicle suffering from potentially serious injuries and was not trapped. A medevac helicopter was requested but was unavailable due to weather conditions, authorities said.

The driver was transported by ambulance to Capital Health Regional Medical Center – Trenton, authorities said.

The crash was investigated by the Raritan Township Police Department.
