Driver injured after dump truck overturns in Hunterdon County

DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Hunterdon County) –  A driver was injured after a dump truck overturned Wednesday in Hunterdon County, according to a post on the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad Facebook’s page.

The crash happened on February 9 at the intersection of County Route 579 and Route 523 near the border of Delaware and Raritan Townships, authorities said.

Upon arrival of first responders from the Flemington – Raritan Rescue Squad and the Sergeantsville Volunteer Fire Company, the driver was out of the truck and then transported to the Hunterdon Medical Center for minor injuries, authorities said.

The roadway was closed until the truck was righted and the stone cleaned up, authorities said.

The crash was investigated by the Delaware Township Police Department.
