Driver injured after tractor-trailer crashes into concrete barrier on I-287 in Morris County

MORRISTOWN, NJ (Morris County) – The driver of a tractor-trailer was injured after his rig crashed into a concrete barrier on Saturday morning, New Jersey State Police Sergeant Alejandro Goez said.

The crash happened at 1:08 a.m. on Interstate 287 southbound at milepost 35.6 in Morristown, Goez said.

According to Goez, a tractor-trailer went off the roadway to the left and struck the concrete barrier median. The driver, a 49-year-old Philadelphia man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Morristown Medical Center, Goez said.

The left and left center lanes were closed during the cleanup. All lanes were reopened at about 3:40 a.m., Goez said.
