Driver seriously injured in crash on I-80 in Morris County

ROXBURY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Burlington County woman was seriously injured in a crash Saturday morning on Interstate 80 in Morris County, according to New Jersey State Police spokesperson Trooper Charles Marchan said.

The crash occurred at 2:55 a.m. on Interstate 80 westbound at milepost 31.6 in Roxbury Township, Marchan said.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that a Mazda, driven by Sheryl A. Burg, 29, of Roebling, and an International box truck were traveling west on Interstate 80, when the Mazda slowed down in the right lane and was rear-ended by the box truck, Marchan said.

As a result of the crash, Burg suffered serious injuries, Marchan said.

The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.
