Driver stopped at green light lead to DWI charge in Hunterdon County

FLEMINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Hunterdon County) –  A Somerset County man was charged with driving while intoxicated after police say he was stopped at a green light in Flemington Borough.

On Wednesday March, 17, at around 8:46 p.m., an officer stopped a motor vehicle for various moving violations and subsequently arrested Bryan S. Riordan, 29, of Hillsborough Township.

According to police, Riordan was found to be operating his vehicle while under the influence of alcohol after staying stopped at a green light near the intersection of Main Street and Church Street.

Riordan was charged with DWI, reckless driving, unregistered motor vehicle, and delaying traffic. He was then released to a responsible person pending a court appearance, police said.
