DWI arrest after driver and passenger found asleep in middle of Route 10 in Morris County

DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Police arrested a Morris County man Monday night after he and his passenger were reportedly found sleeping in the middle of Route 10 in Denville Township, according to police.

On March 11, at around 11:46 p.m., police responded to the report of a motor vehicle that was stopped in the center lane on Route 10 eastbound and the driver and passenger appeared to be asleep, police said.

Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle and discovered that the driver and passenger were asleep in the vehicle. After a brief investigation, the driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Milton Gonzalez, 21, of Morristown was arrested for driving while intoxicated, police said.

Gonzalez was charged with driving while under the influence, reckless driving, careless driving, open containers in a motor vehicle and delaying traffic. He was released pending a court appearance, police said.
