Elective surgeries, endoscopic procedures at Hunterdon Medical Center to be postponed due to rising COVID-19 cases

FLEMINGTON, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Due to the overwhelming number of COVID-19 cases in Hunterdon Medical Center and in the community, Hunterdon Medical Center will be postponing elective surgeries and endoscopic procedures at the hospital until further notice, according to a release from Hunterdon Medical Center.

This will go into effect at Hunterdon Medical Center as of Thursday, January 6, hospital authorities said.

Elective surgeries and endoscopic procedures scheduled at Bridgewater Ambulatory Surgery Center and the Hunterdon Center for Surgery are not being canceled and will continue as scheduled, hospital authorities said.

According to the hospital, this only applies to the elective surgeries and endoscopic procedures performed inside Hunterdon Medical Center.
