Employee accused of stealing $3K from Sussex County nutrition store

SPARTA TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) – A Passaic County woman is facing a theft charge after police say she stole approximately $3,000 from a Sparta Township nutrition store store she worked at.

On Nov. 17, police responded to The Nutrition Store, located at 270 Sparta Ave, for a theft complaint involving an employee, police said.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that Callie L. Thurston 28, of Hewitt, had unlawfully taken approximately $3,000 from her employer between the months of August through November of 2023, police said.

Thurston was charged with theft and released pending a court appearance, police said.
