Epic New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning built from Lego bricks

The Solberg Airport is not the only place to watch the 40th Anniversary of New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning this weekend.

Find the perfect viewing spot at LEGOLAND® Discovery Center New Jersey. The Center has created New Jersey’s smallest Festival of Ballooning – all made from LEGO® bricks!

The full-scale replica of the festival can be seen by guests in MINILAND, a cityscape of New York and New Jersey made up of over 1.5 million LEGO® bricks.

In addition, LEGOLAND Discovery Center New Jersey’s Master Model Builder, Anthony Snyder, did a live LEGO® build at the Festival of Ballooning on Friday, July 28. He scoped the various activities and play areas at the festival and recreated the scenes using LEGO® bricks.

Over 150 LEGO Minifigures participated in the festival, with crowds of mini-audience, iconic features like hot air balloons, concerts and bands, thrill shows, magic show, and even a LEGO® 5K race.

Families enjoyed the live LEGO build, spoke to Anthony to learn building techniques, and won LEGO sets and giveaways at their booth.
