Express-E-ZPass tolling facility at I-78 toll bridge over Delaware River to close for three hours Wednesday morning, April 26

E-ZPass-equipped motorists will need to use the I-78 Toll Bridge’s conventional barrier toll plaza during a three-hour period on Wednesday morning, April 26, according to the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.

The adjacent two-lane Express E-ZPass toll-collection facility will be fully closed 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. that morning to allow work crews to repair roadway joints in the vicinity of that facility, the commission said.

The off-peak closure could cause moderate delays at the four-lane toll booth plaza. Motorists are advised to exercise caution and reduce speed at the toll plaza, the commission said.

All lanes at the toll plaza are E-ZPass equipped, but three of the lanes staffed with toll collectors to take cash payments.
