3-alarm fire destroys building in Netcong (VIDEO & PHOTOS)

NETCONG, NJ (Morris County) – A three-alarm fire burned through a building in Netcong that housed both businesses and apartments.

The blaze, at the corner of Main Street and Maple Avenue, was reported at around 6:30 a.m. on Sunday.

The building is occupied by a dry cleaners & laundromat, House of Gold Salon and Delicious Bagels. There’s also residential apartments above the stores.

The people inside the building were evacuated, Netcong Police Chief James Blesson said.

The Red Cross is helping a family of two with temporary lodging, food and clothing needs.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, Blesson said.

Several fire departments from Morris, Sussex and Warren Counties are on scene.
