Firefighters compete at annual barrel fight (VIDEO & PHOTOS)
LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, NJ (Warren County) – Several firefighters wrangled hoses Friday evening, but they weren’t fighting a fire – they were fighting a barrel.
Firefighters from across the area formed 36 teams at the Mountain Lake Fire Company’s annual Barrel Fight competition. They used the force of the water to push the barrel across a cable strung in the air in a sort of tug-of-war game.
The Hope Volunteer Fire Department won the men’s championship trophy.

The Good Will Fire Company #1 won the women’s trophy for the third year in a row.

The winners get to keep the trophy until next year’s games.
