Firefighters extinguish 2-alarm fire in Washington Borough

WASHINGTON BOROUGH, NJ (Warren County) – Firefighters were able to knock down a two-alarm fire that began at a commercial building Monday night in Washington Borough.

The fire broke out shortly before midnight at a commercial building located at 26 West Washington Ave. The commercial building contained TNT Laundry Center and a Sherwin-Williams.

When firefighters arrived on scene, heavy smoke and fire was coming from the building.

Several first responders from Warren and Hunterdon Counties responded to the scene.

West Washington Ave was closed until about 4:00 a.m.

There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire has not been released.
