
Firefighters extinguish 2-alarm fire in Washington Twp. (PHOTOS)
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – Firefighters were able to knock down a two-alarm fire that began inside a home Saturday afternoon in Washington Township.
The fire broke out at 4:28 p.m. at a residence on Bennington Square, located in the Hastings Square development off Schooleys Mountain Road.
Firefighters found smoke pushing from the eaves of 3 units and immediately requested a second alarm.
The fire was held to one unit with little extension into the attic.
There were no reported injuries.
The Washington Twp Fire Companies and Long Valley EMS were assisted by the Tri-County Volunteer Fire Company, Hackettstown Fire Department, and Budd Lake Fire Department Co.#1.
