First wave of New Jersey state troopers who assisted in Puerto Rico arrive home
NEW JERSEY – The first wave of troopers deployed to Puerto Rico returned to New Jersey safely Saturday after assisting the residents of the island on the road to recovery after the devastation caused by Hurricane Fiona.
In those two weeks, troopers assisted with traffic details, performed welfare checks, and supplied water to those in need.
Troopers also had an opportunity to meet many of the resilient people of Puerto Rico who continue to show their strength in the face of adversity.
