Flanders man charged with burglary in Rockaway Borough

ROCKAWAY BOROUGH, NJ (Morris County) – A Flanders man is facing several charges including burglary after he allegedly broke into a Rockaway Borough business.

M. Sharkey, 46, was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, theft, and evidence tampering.

Officers responded on June 20 to an alarm at a local business and found a forced rear door, police said.

While officers were inside the business, police located Sharkey attempting to leave with a box of computer parts, police said.

Sharkey was taken into custody and then lodged in the Morris County Correctional Facility.
