Former Newton T-Mobile employee sentenced to probation for stealing more than $11K worth of merchandise

NEWTON, NJ (Sussex County) – A former Newton T-Mobile employee was sentenced to probation for stealing more than $11,000 merchandise, according to Sussex County Prosecutor Francis Koch.

Tre M. Jenkins, 22, of Stanhope was sentenced before the Honorable Michael C. Gaus, J.S.C. at the Virtual Sussex County Courtroom in Newton on April 8, Koch said.

Jenkins was sentenced to three years probation, along with the standard conditions of Probation, he must also complete 200 hours of community service, submit a DNA sample, pay more than $11,000 in restitution and $587 in fines and fees, Koch said.

Jenkins pled guilty on February 22 to third-degree theft, Koch said.

According to Koch, Jenkins stole various items including multiple iPhones, Air Pods, Apple Watches, and Samsung Galaxy phones totaling over $11,000 from the Woodbury Wireless (T-Mobile) in Newton where he had been employed.

Jenkins was represented by Thomas F. Militano Esq., and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Brent M. Rafuse.
