BELVIDERE, NJ (Warren County) – A former Phillipsburg man has been sentenced to prison for sexually assaulting 2 children in Phillipbsurg, according to Warren County Prosecutor James Pfeiffer.
On August 11, the Honorable H. Matthey Curry, J.S.C. sentenced Herman Quintana of Easton, Pa on three counts of second-degree sexual assault (victim under 13-years-old) and three counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child (sexual conduct), Pfeiffer said.
Judge Curry sentenced Quintana to eight years in New Jersey State Prison pursuant to the no early release act on each sexual assault count. In addition, Judge Curry sentenced Quintana to five years in New Jersey State Prison on each endangering the welfare count. All sentences are to run concurrent, Pfeiffer said.
Quintana is subject to Megan’s Law Registration and parole supervision for life. He is also to forfeit his New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse license, Pfeiffer said.
On Dec. 12, 2019, a Warren County Grand Jury found Quintana guilty on all counts of a six-count indictment, Pfeiffer said.
Theses convictions stem from Quintana committing multiple acts of sexual contact upon 2 child victims. The acts occurred between the dates of March 2015 to September 2016 when the children were 6-years-old to 10-years-old. In addition, the jury found Quintana guilty of endangering the welfare of the child stemming from the sexual conduct.
The children were known to Quintana, Pfeiffer said.
