Frenchtown Borough named the No.1 ‘Best Small Town for Shopping’ By USA Today’s Reader’s Choice travel awards

FRENCHTOWN BOROUGH, NJ (Hunterdon County) – Frenchtown has been named the ‘Best Small Town for Shopping’ in America by USA Today’s 10Best Reader’s Choice travel awards, finishing with the most votes over such other well-known communities as Sedona, Arizona, Dahlonega, Georgia, and New Hope, Pennsylvania.

“Congratulations Frenchtown, you are now nationally renowned,” John E. Lanza, the Hunterdon County Commissioner Board Director, said. “This is a tremendous achievement for the community and a great way for the county to kick off its Explore Hunterdon: The Other Side of Jersey tourism campaign. Hunterdon County welcomes all to explore the other side of Jersey this summer season, because tourism helps to spur economic growth in the county.”

The USA Today’s announcement stated, ‘With historic roots, Frenchtown is considered one of the best small towns for shopping in the tri-state area, and now the United States, according to 10Best readers.’
