Gas line project set to begin Monday in Flanders

FLANDERS, NJ (Morris County) – New Jersey Natural Gas Company will begin installing gas lines in the Flanders section of Mount Olive Township Monday.

Beginning April 27 and lasting approximately 12 weeks, this critical infrastructure project will cause road closures in the area of Main Street, Park Place, and North Road weekdays from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., police said.

Mount Olive Police will have message boards in the area to alert citizens of the intermittent traffic patterns and road closures.

The police department will also Tweet the closures as a daily reminder to residents to plan alternate routes of travel. Follow Mount Olive Police on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook for daily updates.
