GoFundMe set up after 18-year-old dies from ATV crash in Warren County

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help pay for funeral expenses of an 18-year-old man who was killed in an ATV crash Saturday.

The crash happened at around 3:43 p.m. in the area of Gibbs Road in Allamuchy Township, New Jersey State Police spokesperson Trooper Charles Marchan.

A preliminary police investigation revealed that Jose Carlos Perez Garcia, 18, of Hackettstown was riding an ATV off road when it overturned. Garcia suffered fatal injuries, Marchan said.

The crash remains under investigation, Marchan said.

According to a GoFundMe page created by Sandra Perez, “Jose was a very dedicated student, his greatest desire was to become a professional mechanic. At this moment he leaves his parents Abundio Perez Perez and Rocio Garcia and siblings with their hearts devastated.

“We ask you to join us in prayer for his eternal rest, we thank you with all our hearts for the financial support for funeral expenses,” Perez said in the post.

The GoFundMe has set a goal of $10,000 for the Pérez García family. As of Tuesday morning, it has raised $10,630. If you would like to donate to help out the family, click here.
