Gottheimer visits Crystal Springs Resort, promoting safe winter tourism in Sussex County during COVID-19

HARDYSTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Sussex County) — U.S. Congressman Josh Gottheimer (NJ-5), NJ State Senator Steve Oroho, NJ Assemblyman Parker Space, and NJ Assemblyman Hal Wirths recently visited Crystal Spring Resorts to highlight safe winter family activities and tourism opportunities in Sussex County during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to continue the work of Gottheimer’s Tourism Task Force to support Northwest New Jersey.

“Sussex County is home to some of the greatest tourism and vacation destinations in the state and country,” Gottheimer siad. “As more people stay closer to home during the pandemic and look for safe winter activities, promoting these locations is more critical than ever to improve our local eco-tourism and drive economic growth in the Fifth District.”

Crystal Springs Resort is a New Jersey vacation destination located just an hour from New York City.

Throughout the pandemic, Crystal Springs has awarded resort credits to Atlantic Health System COVID-19 healthcare workers. Crystal Springs Resort recently announced it has commenced commercial operations of the largest resort-based solar farm in the Northeastern United States.  Developed in partnership with New Jersey-based Marina Energy, the 25-acre solar field has over 19,000 solar panels and has the annual capacity to generate 3.5 megawatts of electricity, which is more power than is consumed annually by the Resort’s two hotels.

Gottheimer, Oroho, Space, and Wirths were joined by Crystal Springs Chief Marketing Officer Chris Mulvihill and Crystal Springs Director of Marketing Michelle Abate.
