
Hackettstown man arrested for burglary in Morris County
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Hackettstown man is facing charges in connection to a residential burglary in Washington Township on Wednesday, according to police.
On August 2, officers responded to a report of a residential burglary on Sierra Drive, police said.
Upon arriving, officers observed a sliding glass door had been shattered. Officers then cleared and secured the residence, police said.
Washington Township detectives responded to process the scene and during the course of the investigation that night, a suspect was developed, police said.
Detectives and police officers responded to an apartment on Arthur Terrace in Hackettstown and ultimately arrested a 24-year-old Hackettstown man, whose identity was not released, police said.
He was charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. He was then transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility pending a court appearance.
